ORDERING PHOTOS:
From our Online Galleries

Are my pictures available online?
Our convenient online viewing & ordering system is only available for the jobs or events shown on the ‘View/Buy Prints’ page of our website. Since we continuously update our site with new events, it is important to check back to this page often. If you do not see your event listed, then online viewing is not available for that particular event, and those orders can only be placed by mail, fax or handed in to school as instructed on the form you received about those particular photos.

When will a particular event’s photos be posted online?
There are many steps involved in a job's photos being posted online, therefore it is impossible to give an exact date when the photos will be available. Normally, it takes about 3 weeks from the event date for the photos to be scanned, edited, labeled and posted 'live' on our website.

What are the system requirements for using Highpoint’s online galleries?
Our online photo galleries are designed to be used with either Windows or Macintosh systems. In Windows, Internet Explorer or Netscape work best. For Mac users, Safari and Camino work great. Internet Explorer works fine, but is noticeably slower.

Tip: Whichever platform you’re using, we STRONGLY recommend that you use a web browser OTHER THAN America Online. AOL's Internet browser uses proprietary photo compression software that causes delays with our website. So, it's best to open a new window with one of the Internet browser programs we mention above (instead of AOL's) to do your online shopping with us.

What if I don’t have a computer or online connection?
If your event is being shown on our website, then unfortunately, using our online system is the only way to view & order those pictures. We’ve designed our online system to be extremely quick and user-friendly, so we’re hoping that you’d be able to temporarily use a computer at one of these suggested places:

  • at work
  • a local library or Kinko’s
  • a friend’s place
  • your school’s computer lab

What are your print prices?
All of the prints we sell are made on matte-finish, archival photo paper at our professional color lab. Prints also come in a wide range of sizes and packages, depending on the job or event. Here’s a typical price list:
Set of (4) Wallets:
Set of (2) 3x5’s:
(1) 5x7:
(1) 8x10:
$12.95/set
$12.95/pair
$12.95/each
$18.95/each

Note: You’ll see all of the specific price information once you're in your online gallery.

How much will shipping cost?
Packaging and shipping charges will be automatically calculated and added to your online order, based on the total price of your order. All orders placed online are shipped directly to you (not your school) via First Class U.S. mail approximately 3 weeks from the date we receive your order, so please plan ahead.
See the Shipping & Handling chart.

Tip: If you need your photos quicker, you may have your order rushed for an additional charge of $10. This flat fee will have your order printed & shipped to you within 5-7 business days. You'll see the option for this Rush Service on the online checkout page.

How do I place an order online?
We proudly offer simple, secure e-commerce for the events shown on our website. You can preview your photos and order any quantity & size you’d like with no purchase obligation and our 30-day money back guarantee. Here’s how:

General Instructions:
Go online to www.highpointpictures.com, preferably using a high-speed internet connection. On our homepage, click the ‘Find Your Photos’ button to see all of the available online photo galleries, which display photos by category or event. Follow the instructions to enter the desired gallery. Once in your gallery, browse all photos & add any that you'd like to purchase into your shopping cart. When you're finished shopping, you can complete your order securely online using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can submit your selections by mail and pay with a check instead. How quickly will I receive my order?
We print orders in batches, not individually. That’s why we estimate that you will receive your order about 3 weeks from the date we receive it. Quite often, delivery is faster than that, but please plan ahead just in case. Orders are shipped via First Class U.S. Mail directly to the address you indicate on your order form, not to your school or organization. Your pictures will arrive in our sturdy, white cardboard mailers - look out for them!

FYI: If you are ordering for more than 1 child, you will likely receive your pictures in different envelopes on different days.

Will light or dark images be corrected in the final printing?
Most definitely. The low-resolution sample images you see on your screen may look grainy or unclear focus because of a variety of factors (the quality of your monitor, your screen settings, etc.). Rest assured that any prints you order will be high resolution images that will also be corrected for optimal color and contrast.

FYI: Every print we sell comes with our 30-day money back guarantee, so if you're ever unhappy with your photos upon receipt, you can always return it to us for an exchange, a reprint or a full refund - your option.

Top of page

Will my pictures be cropped or re-centered?
Generally, no. The finished prints are automatically produced showing the exact proportions and cropping that are displayed on your screen.

Note: The only exception to this rule is that 8” x 10” prints (and larger) will have a slightly more ‘square’ proportion to them. This means that a bit more will be cut in from the left/right side of horizontals & from the top/bottom of verticals. But please don’t be concerned, because if we see that this will cut into important elements or people in your prints, we will simply leave them as un-cut 8” x 12” prints, which will display the full image. This only affects a very small number of images and is highly unlikely to affect your order.

FYI: If you have unwanted elements in your photo or you’d like to zoom-in on certain people or parts of a picture, we do offer Custom Cropping for an additional fee. Click here to learn more.

Note: Your final prints may arrive as uncut packages or 'sheets' of photos. Trimming your photos upon arrival may be necessary.

What method of payment is required?
ONLINE orders require payment with a credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Note: If you need to find your photos online, but pay with a check, click here for those instructions.

MAIL/FAX orders can be paid with either credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or a check / money order made payable to Highpoint Pictures.

Top of page

When will my credit card be charged?
Our online system will approve and charge your credit card at the time to purchase, during the final stage of the online checkout process. This just ensures that your credit card is valid so we can ship your order to you as soon as we receive it from our lab. However, if your credit card comes up declined in our system or your address information doesn’t accurately match your card, then your order will not go through properly and you will receive an error message. Please contact us if you have any problems with this stage.

Top of page

If my pictures are available online, must I use my credit card to complete the purchase?
No. You now have the option to view your photos online, yet pay with a check or money order (instead of completing the order process online with your credit card). See these instructions >>

Top of page

Is ordering online secure? What about my personal information?
The ordering pages of our website use the latest and safest encryption software (called SSL) to make certain that the information you provide us with is encoded and then securely transmitted to our office. We are constantly updating this software to ensure a safe & reliable e-commerce system for you to order your photos.

Additionally, your personally identifiable information is ONLY used to conduct business with you, and that information will NEVER be used, sold or made available to any third party company.

FYI: Student or family names are NEVER publicly displayed on our website or online galleries.

Other online ordering tips…

  • Don’t use AOL’s Internet browser. Instead, use browsers such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari or Camino. So even if you have to 'sign-on' to the Internet through AOL, it’s best to stop after sign on, then open a new window with one of these aforementioned browsers to do your online shopping with us.
  • Use a computer with a high-speed Internet connection to make your shopping experience the quickest possible.
  • Use a high quality, high-resolution computer screen so the online photo proofs most clearly demonstrate the high quality of each image.
  • Print pricing & sizes are different for each gallery. They will be accessible once you enter the gallery. Please note that the print prices shown do not include shipping charges, sales tax, or late fees - these will be displayed & added to your order during the online checkout process.
  • While navigating throughout our site, click all of the various links & buttons we show only ONCE, then wait for a response. If you click twice or don't wait, then unwanted duplicate entries may be made causing delays with your order.
  • Due to Internet space limitations, our online gallery system does not contain every event that we’ve ever shot in the past. If an event or job is older than 60 days, then it's unlikely we'll be posting that event's photos online. See the master list of all available online galleries.

Ordering Photos:
From an order form you’ve received in the mail

How do I place a mail/fax order?
Simply fill out the order form you’ve received, then mail or fax the form directly to Highpoint Pictures (our fax & address info appear on the form). Please write clearly and use pen, not pencil. Your order will be processed & sent directly to your home or office, as you indicate on the form. Payment may be made using a credit card (MasterCard or Visa only), or a check/money order made payable to Highpoint Pictures.

IMPORTANT: Late orders will be accepted, but only up to a year from the date that the event was photographed. After a year has gone by, those photos will no longer be available. The only exception to this rule is our Sports Team Photos, which we have in stock from as far back as Fall 2001.

I lost or never received my order form/proofs - how can I get replacements?
Just call or email us with your request and we’ll be happy to provide you with new ones. Please be as specific as possible.

What type of payment do you accept for mail or fax orders?
MAIL orders can be paid with a check or money order (made payable to Highpoint Pictures) or credit card (MasterCard or Visa only). Important: We are only able to accept checks denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Checks must have a valid nine-digit ABA routing number pre-printed on the bottom of the check.

FAX orders require payment by credit card (MasterCard or Visa only).

When do you deposit my payment (or charge my credit card)?
Check and money order payments will be deposited upon receipt of your order. Credit card payments are charged just before or after your order is sent, depending on a variety of factors. Either way, please do not be alarmed if your payment has been put through prior to you receiving your photos. This is our normal policy and ensures that your payment is valid. It also prevents delays with sending your photo order out to you in a timely manner.

Should I both mail AND fax my order to you?
Definitely not! Please choose only 1 method of ordering (mail or fax) to avoid duplicate orders. Please only fax us one time, as well.

Do I have to return the proofs with my mail/fax order?
If you’re MAILING your final order to us (and you initially received proofs), it’s strongly recommended that you include the proofs with your mailing. This will allow us to double-check the order prior to shipping, which helps to fix problems and avoid delays. If you’re FAXING us your order, it’s not necessary to return the proofs.

Other Common Questions

How can I check the status of my order?
Just email us anytime or call us toll-free at (866) 738-5500 to check the status of an order you’ve already placed. Please provide us with the following specific information so we can help you the quickest: school name, student’s name & grade, event/job, and about when and how you placed the order (online, mail, fax, etc.). If you're tracking an online order, please also include the order # as well. We will track your order and respond to you within 24 hours.

Before you contact us, please remember…

  • Orders are typically shipped directly to the address you indicated on your order form (via First Class U.S. Mail) approximately 3 weeks from the date we received your order.
  • Orders for more than 1 child will likely be shipped separately, so please don’t be alarmed if all of your orders don’t arrive at once.
  • Special orders requiring retouching or custom cropping usually take about 2 weeks longer.
  • Any questions about your order should be addressed directly to Highpoint Pictures (not your school) as we can assist you the quickest.

I lost or never received the order form or proofs. Now what?
You can request replacement proofs easily by clicking here to send us an email. Please be as specific as possible with your replacement request, including the school name, student's name, event/job, and about when the photos were taken.

Do you offer special services like Retouching or Custom Cropping?
Yes. RETOUCHING is available for an additional charge of $30 per proof. This flat charge will eliminate most skin blemishes and minor clothing spots on all of the pictures you order of that same proof.

CUSTOM CROPPING is also available. This service allows you to crop-out or remove unwanted elements from your pictures. Please add a one-time fee of $20 to your order for each proof you'd like cropped.

> To take advantage of either service, please place your order by MAIL, enclosing the proofs, a detailed note/diagram explaining the service you'd like performed, and the appropriate fees as noted above. These special orders may take up to 4-5 weeks for delivery. Online gallery shoppers: click here for additional instructions.

Do you offer sizes larger than you’ve specified on the order form or website?
Usually we do, but please call or email us ahead for the latest sizes and pricing available.

What kind of quality can I expect from the prints I order?
All of your final prints are guaranteed be top quality. We use the same commercial photo lab that we’ve used since 1992. All images are printed using the traditional photographic process on professional-grade, archival, matte-finish paper.

What if I’m not happy with the prints I order?
If your pictures are incorrect or fail to meet your expectations in any way, you may return them within 30 days of receipt for a replacement or refund. No questions asked!

Just follow this procedure to ensure that your problem gets handled in a timely manner:

  1. Place all of the incorrect or unsatisfactory pictures back into the original cardboard mailing envelope that you received.
  2. Include a detailed note explaining the problem as well as the student’s name, your daytime phone # and the school’s name.
  3. On the outside of the envelope, cross out your address then hand write “Refused: Return to Sender” in bold print. This will have the envelope shipped back to us with no additional charges to you.
  4. Re-seal the envelope & place it in your mailbox. DO NOT do this at a Post Office counter as they will charge you for return postage, instead of us.
  5. Upon receipt of your envelope, we will quickly replace the incorrect photo or issue you a refund, per your instructions.

Yes, but only until a year has passed since the event was photographed. Also, a small late fee is required due to the higher cost of producing orders after certain time frames. Please just submit your order as instructed, including the late fees as noted.

Am I responsible to pay New York State Sales Tax?
Sales Tax is only required on orders that are being shipped to addresses that are located in New York State. Please see your order form for tax amounts or use your local sales tax rate.

Can I re-order pictures?
